Plotting Assistance.

Okay, I'm posting this here, because this is the plotting community, and I need to see your opinons or get your approval on this.

Right now, Pride's been sort of introducing himself to the younger inhabitants that arrive in Discedo, partly as a form of blendng in with the other kids, partly as way so that he can potentially use them in the future, a well of telling people "I can kill these kids right now, even powerless. Even if they come back, I can scar them for the rest of their miserable lives* . Right now, he's in an information gathering phase. I want to move him to the next one, but I need your help with this.

Basically, Selim wants to be enrolled in the school. Yeah, Pride goes to school. As funny/creepy as that is, I have some reservations, since some of Pride's teachers may well sense his...nature,even if he's unchipped. Does anyone have any suggestions, or comments, or even a "just go for it!"?

I can't help with the school bit, but Pride should totally come along and say hello to Riful at some point.

What does Selim want out of going to classes?

Yes I know. I'm not sure how. If they had their chips removed, I had this idea where Riful tries to go after him, and finds that Pride is more than he appears, and they sort of laugh about it afterward (totally ripped off from another series), but I'm not sure how powerless.

Again, he wants to blend in with the other children. But he also wants to send a message to anyone who knows of his nature. "See these kids? I can kill them anytime. None of them will suspect me. After all, I'm one of them. So stay quiet, and out of my way." Pride's a jerk.

Holy shiz, that'd make for an interesting meeting~

But yeah, that would have to wait for chip removal for both of them, and I'm probably going to give it a while before I remove Riful's. (I'd feel bad blowing stuff up so early in my Disco stay... >.>)

Uh, Riful is probably youngish enough looking for Pride to use her to send the 'back off, I have the kids' message. She looks like what, twelve? She's also been keeping an eye out for other...heh, morally ambiguous people. If Ed/Al were to make a PSA about Wrath and Pride, she might be interested enough to say hello next time she sees him around. Or even without~ (Riful is trying to make friends with the kiddies too.)

She'll probably catch and match any creeper vibes she picks up on.

Another opportunity would be as Riful starts to feel hunger pangs despite the chip, she's going to get... a bit creepier. Possibly creepy enough to catch Pride's interest, I don't know~

Weeeeell, it's all conjecture now. It's not like anyone can PROVE what he is. It's heresay, even if someone uses powers. They can't see through the person's eyes, so I doubt it would hold up in any court.

Well, based on how he acted in season 3, when the Gaang infiltrated the Fire Nation, Aang is pretty interested in school, so I was thinking of signing him up.

Fair point. On the other hand, the principal is Shinigami of Soul Eater, and one of the teachers is Susan of Discworld. I could be wrong, but I think they might be able to pick up on the fact that Pride has a number of souls in him (the Philosopher's Stone is still there, just supressed, and its pretty much just a mass of souls). How would they deal with a being like Pride?

Hmm...might be more reason to do that actully.

It's never specified, but she's said to have been the youngest to reach Rank 1, and also the youngest to have Awakened, so I presume she's barely out of childhood herself. Personal guess is anywhere from 11 to 14.

The boyfriend is probably because she's mentally a bajillion years old~ XD

I'm not too sure whether or not Susan can "sense" the souls in Pride - it's not nothing that her canon ever details. We could wing it either way, depending on what kind of plots you want.

But at the very least, her hackles are already very much up about Bradley, thanks to Hughes and his very blatant I-can-do-anything-to-Elysia post. As yet she doesn't know there is a connection between Pride and Bradley, but if she does, she will watch Pride like a hawk. She's not one to assume that children are harmless. And there is a good chance that one of the FMA crew will tell her, since they know she's the teacher.

Susan is also unchipped, with very godmoddy powers. And she'd definitely use all of them on Selim if her ever attacked any of the other students, in or out of class.

Also, Shinigami does have the ability to view people's souls. But Shinigami-mun only does that with mod permission, and Shinigmai doesn't necessarily make an appearance frequently in Susan's class.

So, it could be possible to Selim to come and not be discovered for what he is by Susan. But it would depend on the FMA crowd not telling her what he is, and him being very good at acting like a normal child who doesn't want to kill his classmates. Still, if you want to have him involved in a plot involving Susan's class, I'd be up for it!

Yeah, Susan's godmoddy powers are what concerns me...or at least my Pride muse, not that he knows of them yet. Susan has this whole "I'm more real than the rest of you going on", and she's Death's granddaughter, so...

Aaaaargh, sorry for the double-comment, I wanted to edit something and it didn't go as planned. orz

Anyway, Shinigami can see souls (with permission (http://community.livejournal.com/discedo_ooc/889416.html)), so once he noticed that Pride wasn't who he appeared to be, he'd probably start dropping in on each class that Pride would attend in order to keep an eye on him. If Pride made a move to harm anyone, Shinigami wouldn't hesitate to subdue or knock him out (or worse, if necessary).

Either way, I think you should go for it! :D It'd definitely make things interesting. Yeah, I'm rather grateful that she's the sort to keep the quiet and not really use them much (well...except in class). Otherwise I'd be having to ask people, "Um, do you mind if Susan uses this really godmoddy power on your character?" all the time XD.

And I'm not really sure who'd win if it came to a battle between her and Pride - they're both ridiculously powerful.
