GO FIGHT WIN

DEATH AND DYING
To be honest, I can never really decide. I think it's theoretically possible, but it would have to be under a) a political event and b) really important. Maybe they have some sort of luck thing - maybe a gunshot to the head would take them out for a little bit, I don't know, but I don't think they can actually DIE die unless it was political. I think that Denmark came extremely close in the 19th century, after S-H, which coincides with a huge national depression and the loss of all his good land in 50 years, but... IDK.

SEX
I HAVE PUT THOUGHT INTO THIS. I think that Denmark thinks that homosexuality is fine for nations, but sort of weird for humans. He's a Christian, he's from the 40s, he... just doesn't think it's exactly right. And he doesn't think he's being hypocritical, because he doesn't think humans and nations are the same thing at all; "God never said anything about us," or something. So yeah, it's kind of icky to him. That said, I think to him, sex... really isn't a big deal? Not in the way of France. But he's old and has sort of gotten it out of his system. He's had over a thousand years to do it, it's still fun, but he realizes he's good looking and awesome and going to live forever and just doesn't care all that much -- except he's a troll, and he DOES think it's funny that to some countries it still is a big-ish deal. When he was younger, he believed in the whole sex is only for marriage thing, which is one of the reasons he started calling his unification with Norway a marriage once they slept together ffffff. SO NO, HE HASN'T SLEPT AROUND AS MUCH AS HE LIKES TO IMPLY. A few flings before and after his marriage, his "marriage," and that's it.

HUMANS
I think that Denmark, most of the time, passes as a human. He lives in a normal town, goes to a normal store, etc. He interacts with humans, but he's probably a little reclusive -- hm. Very friendly and interested -- they're his people, after all! -- but a lot less of that "I'm so awesome let me tell you about it/myself." I don't think everyone knows he's Denmark, but I don't think it's some huge, gigantic secret. If it comes up, it comes up, and of course the various people in his government/royal family know. As for acceptance -- I think that his royal family, the people he's sort of "closest" to, accept it (probably because he's been visiting them since they were kids, and their parents were kids, etc), and people who have been in government for a while accept it, and it's probable that Danish people feel a sort of draw to him? Maybe not knowing that he IS Denmark, but a sort of feeling of familiarity and "do I know you" and friendliness.

BEFORE COUNTRIES OKAY I HAVE SO MUCH HEADCANON FOR THIS. I think that Denmark always knew he was SOMETHING connected to his people and this certain patch of land, and then other bits of land, and so on. I don't think he knew he was a country, because what are countries in the 5th century, but he knew he was SOMETHING. And his people probably did think he was a God, and he probably went with it, because lol polytheism and the incredible not aging child. And then when people started -- "hey, I'm the king now," hey, I'm in charge, etc, it sort of clicked like OH, THIS.
