Well, also in Discedo, they don't have the connection. Even without the chip, they're not getting the connection - so if you think about it like that, the instinct wouldn't "apply" here. Like the wires are just cut? I know Denmark at least has mentioned it once IC (he was... complaining at Lucrecia I think) and does assume the connection will resume if he gets his chip out.
