The Museum

The following is the resortation and information post for Discedo's museum. This is subject to change as work and plot goes about, and will be OOCly run by AnNika, and ICly run by [livejournal.com profile] gocoldturkey and his cats. And with time, it will contain a literal history of Discedo, which can be accessed ICly.

If anybody wants to make suggestions to this post, seeing as it will be a minature, ICly referencable history of Discedo, please comment! If you wish for it to be private, please PM Greece's account. Thanks!

On-the-job
Greece / [livejournal.com profile] gocoldturkey
Times; Always there, every day. Okay, he lives there unofficially.
Jobs; Caretaker, curator, cat-lover

Will Stanton / [livejournal.com profile] beyondimagining
Times; A few hours a week, when someone has the time to walk with him. Old One or not, right now he is only a small boy with no skill at fighting.
Jobs;
Will is a bit of an amateur historian and anthropologist. He is particularly fond of Latin, though he is fluent in all languages. Also he knows quite a bit about history and folklore, especially of the British isles. He will probably be most helpful as a collector of stories and information, although he is certainly willing to help with the clean up.

Exhibits
All rooms are singed. Many of the idems inside have been burned, and some mostly destroyed. Minimal water damage.
Room I
• A painting of Jesus fighting Jesus. With a claymore.
"Marcus Alexander's representation of the religious rift between Accido and the rest of Fortuna. The different interpretations of Catholicism would eventually spark the Red Crusades in the mid-1300's and--" The rest is too damaged to read.
• Suits of armor, including some for horses and some unidentifyable animal. With them is an assortment of weapons. No explanations provided.
• A medieval machine gun that shoots arrow. It's too damanged to function anymore.
• Two statues; One of a cowled woman holding a lantern (God of Death) and the other of a winged teenage boy (Keats, God of Family)
• An assortment of Crusified animals. Before they where on the ground, but by now they should at least be put up on a wall, or resting on a table. They're stuck a little out of the way.
• A hole revealing a trap door leading to a bunker. Information concerning it located below.

Room II
Black and white photos of the following
• A very impressive and massive airship. The explanation is as follows;
"The T55 airship, more commonly known as 'Fort Alta' or 'Heaven's Raider'. The first air craft to double as a military base, it is a marked achievement through Eight Coalition Accido-Discedo Alliance during the War of Western Independence."
• Another photo of the same airship crashing into a city. Above the picture is carved 'ALL ABOARD THE FAILSHIP'.
"After a five-day barrage of anti-aircraft missiles and a faulty bomb release, the aircraft crashes into Hollisland's capital, Bautzenburg, effectively ending the war."
• photos of soldiers: a group shot near one of the buildings on the airship, two soldiers sharing a cigarette in a younger, more Roman-looking Discedo, a female soldier in a trench, and a soldier laughing with a duck on his head.
• A map! and it's explanation;
“The Siege of Dissimulo in 1896 was the most important turning point of the War of Western Independence and is considered the bloodiest battle in human history, with more combined casualties suffered than any battle before or since. The battle was marked by brutality and disregard for military and civilian casualties on both sides. The battle is taken to include the Hollish siege of the city-state of Dissimulo, the battle inside the city, and the 8th Coalition’s counter-offensive which eventually trapped and destroyed the Hollish Sixth and Seventh Armies. Total casualties for both sides are estimated to be over nine million. As a result of the battle, the Hollish suffered roughly 5 million casualties, 1/3 of their strength on the Western Front, as well as a huge amount of supplies and equipment. The Hollish forces were never able to recover from this loss and were eventually forced into a long retreat out of the West, ending the twenty year phase of Hollish Imperalism. For the Coalition, who also suffered great losses during the battle, the victory marked the start of the liberation of the West leading to eventual victory over Hollisland in 1903.”

Room III
• Inkblots. A lot of them.
• A model of a basketball four made entirely out of cereal boxes.
• A statue of a golden retriever with a pot leaf behind him. Around it, hundreds of names are carved.
• A pile of things on tables, with their previous owners listed on it

CHINA'S PANTIES - KOREA
---Some cute panda patterned boxers China left in Discedo before he disappeared. Korea thinks of them very dearly and will kill something if they're not returned to him. Now that Hong Kong's here, he at least has the heart not to look at them for awhile. And he has a spare pair anyway.

These are the only accessible rooms at this time.

The Bunker
This was revealed Early Deceber, 2010 (IRL time). There should be 'please don't touch' signs in various languages around, obviously hand written. It's open to exploration, although it's likely Greece is tagging along to make sure nothing is damaged. No definite map of it's layout. Those who enter will be advised of a gory scene to come.

Right - Bathroom
• Shower stalls, toilets, sinks, broken mirrors. Presumably useless. 'DO NOT USE' has been put on all the stalls (greece)
• Blood splatter over the layout in general. Larger blots probably have a sign near them also. 'Please don't touch!'
• More Posters, how to wash your hands and the like

Right - The Main Room - Living Room
Upon entering, there WILL be a sign that instructs people to stay INSIDE the roped area. You don't have to. Greece won't listen to it either, it's just precautionary.
• Desks, chairs, dinner table, so on so forth.
• Books! Fiction Novels.
• Games
• A television
• Three dead bodies. A 'woman' sitting at the desk, and two men on two seperate couches (although one might be broken up). There's a white chalk line on the ground, indicating how one of the two men was posistioned when he died.

Right - Main Room - Bedroom
THIS ROOM IS BLOCKED OFF Outside is a sign that states EXACTLY what is inside of it.
--Nine bodies are rested here, aged from pre-teen to elderly. The youngest two girls are tucked in. Cause of death is unknown at present. Please, have respect for the dead and do not enter.
Please oh please ask premission to visit the inside of this room. Greece will very seriously prevent entrance.

Left - Storage Room A
• Gas
• Posters; sterilzing water, cleaning chemical accidents, and things of that nature. Think science lab.
•A near by stair case contains a single body. There is only a 'please do not touch' sign to go with it. It's too much trouble to get him out. Unlike the other bodies, this one has obvious signs of damange. On top of the stairs are two rooms. One is locked, the other...

Television Studio
This room will be recognizable from [livejournal.com profile] spectavi's weather reports. Unfortunately, at no time will you find any of the news casters.
• Recording Equipment
• Desk, chairs, the like. Behind it it states 'CHANNEL 8 NEWS; DISCEDO'
• Evidence of a trash fire in the center of the room.
• Dressing rooms, including a star reading 'MOLLY'
• Broken stair cases. At the top one can see another trap door leading to the Museum. It's be left as it is.

Anything else
• No evidence of it now, but shortly after the fire, a gas was released from the bunker, causing hallusinations throughout Discedo.

Good to know! But seriously, this is a great excuse to play with this side of Will's personality. His idea of fun is to read medieval herbal treatises and go on bike trips around Britain taking brass rubbings from churches.

[identity profile] invisibill.livejournal.com 2011-03-03 09:49 pm (UTC)(link)
As far as I know, he is. Not that I've actually done anything with it.

[identity profile] brotundbier.livejournal.com 2011-03-03 09:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Well it's mostly just ooc/behind the scenes work, anyway. So like... Idk if there's info you found and ran by me, that's really all there is to do.... it's actually a little out of date, I need to add some collected stuff...

[identity profile] invisibill.livejournal.com 2011-03-03 09:55 pm (UTC)(link)
I know Will has been talking to Cynthia about collecting stories and possibly writing them up in books, but I don''t think they actually got as far as starting on it.

[identity profile] brotundbier.livejournal.com 2011-03-03 09:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh cute.... Okay idk just throw whatever at me whenever if you ever got anything. I'll probably check in again four months from now just... So I'm not being lame or something. I may get more to do at some point

s-sorry i've been so slow with tags lately! also idk if this is really relevant all that much but his dad owns a museum back home, so he'd probably know a lot about how they work, should be set-up, and such :|@ SO YES, HE IS GOOD FOR THOSE THINGS

[identity profile] whatthefactor.livejournal.com 2010-11-09 09:05 pm (UTC)(link)
A month ago or so I noticed no one was using the museum, so I was planning on having Sho move in there and use it as a studio for his "art." If I were to act on this idea, then he's been in the process of moving his stuff from Latimir. If he realized someone was touching his stuff, trying to set shit up and whatnot, he'd do his damnedest to make sure that didn't happen or they stopped.

I'M NOT SAYING GREECE SHOULD GET OUT FFT, but if you wanted to play out some sort of turf war or something? Just a plot idea or something. |D

A war! Or a some other synonym for it.

I AM INDEED WILLING. /o/;

[identity profile] whatthefactor.livejournal.com 2010-11-10 02:53 pm (UTC)(link)
OH IT WILL. sob he's a hideous cheater.

Yes plotting sounds awesome, especially since I had a couple other ideas I could end up tying into this. My aim is tabootycall and I'm on most of the time (though admittedly I'm not really coherent at the moment), but if you prefer something other than aim uhh... I have plurk? idk

No worries! o/ Again, I didn't really say anything about it and I haven't been the most active recently SO YOU WERE BASICALLY RIGHT? BUT YEAH IT'S FINE. IT MAKES THINGS MORE EXCITING THIS WAY? HOORAY FOR CONFLICT? Again no worries!

[identity profile] whatthefactor.livejournal.com 2010-11-11 07:18 pm (UTC)(link)
ffft I thought I replied to this earlier BUT APPARENTLY NOT. Alright! My Plurk is pyffamus_prime. /o/ I have class around that time tuesdays and thursday I'll try IMing tomorrow or something?

YEAH. o9
